Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday December 30, 2011 at White Funeral Home, Lumberton for Doris Olivia House, 75, of Lumberton, Mississippi who died Tuesday December 27, 2011 in the Pearl River County Nursing Home, Poplarville. Brother Jesse Ladner will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Lumberton City Cemetery.

She was a member of Olive Baptist Church and retired from Cooper Power Systems, Inc.

Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Townsend and her husband Tracy of Purvis, MS and Lesha Easley and her husband Brian of Lumberton, MS; one step-daughter, Peggy Hendry and her husband Buddy of Woodville, MS; three brothers, Donald Owen of Bessemer, AL, Glenn Owen of Spokane, WA, and Robert Owen of Lumberton, MS; one step-brother, Rube Dickinson of Lumberton, MS; one sister, Catherine Nell Harper of Pasadena, TX; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson and Ruth Louise Michael-Owen; her first husband, George McCardle; her second husband, Jerry House; one son, Rocky Sheldon McCardle, and one step-sister, Carolyn Bounds.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday December 30, 2011 at White Funeral Home, Lumberton.
