Funeral services will be at LUMBERTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, W 11th Avenue & 6th Street, Lumberton, MS, 39455 on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11:00 am. Rev. Glenn Freeman and Rev. John Sapp will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Lumberton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 9:30 am until services, Tuesday at the church.

Mrs. Broadus was born December 16, 1928 in Lumberton to Andrew Jackson Blackwell and Theola Jones Blackwell. She was a homemaker and attended Lumberton United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Broadus; one daughter, Linda Broadus; three brothers, Jack Blackwell, Robert Blackwell, J.D. Blackwell; three sisters, Miriam Broadus, Francis Blackwell and Betty Cannon.

Family members include two sons, Ron Broadus (Jessie Conravey), Bob Broadus (Kim); two grandchildren, Stephanie Hester, Jennifer Daniels; four great grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Kain, and Kade; three sisters, Pauline Reid, Merle Bass, Shirley Carlisle; and one brother, Edward Blackwell.
