Mike was born July 27, 1935 in Poplarville to William Henry Morrison and Eva Landrum Morrison. He was retired from the American Can Company in New Orleans; a former Sheriff's Deputy and Deputy Coroner in Pearl River County; and retired as a Commissioner at the Mississippi Regional Housing Authority, VII in Gulfport. He was a former Marine serving during the Korean War and of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest Morrison, Marvin "Pat" Morrison, Bill Morrison; and one sister, Johnnie Rose Morrison.
Family members include his wife of 62 years, Sara Schrader Morrison; two daughters, Lorria Morrison Hood and her husband Paul; Janne Morrison and her husband, Joby Erickson; five grandchildren, Amber (Darren) Fairchild, Shane (Kaylee) McKnight, William Neil (Techia) Bates, Dylan (Matti) Bates, C.J. Hood; ten great grandchildren, Arriana Franklin, Justice Fairchild, Braelynn Fairchild, Kynsie McKnight, Lillian McKnight, Emersyn Bates, Morghan Simmons, Brittany Bates, Andrew Mehrlander, Lucas Hood; two brothers, James "Bud" Morrison, Ed Morrison; and one sister, Mary Miller.
Services will be held at White Funeral Home, Lumberton on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow in Felix Ladner Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 9:00 am until services, Thursday at the funeral home.
