Sara L. Morrison

Sara was born November 18, 1939 in Huntsville, Alabama and was raised in Douglasville, GA. She was a retired school bus driver with the Lumberton School District. She also worked with Guardsmark as a security guard at Cooper Power Systems and as a hostess for White Funeral Homes. She married Mike Morrison on December 9, 1958 in Poplarville. She was of the Christian faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray Franklin Schrader and Nellie Esther Seymore Schrader; her beloved husband, Martin Ree "Mike" Morrison; her brother-in-law, Marvin Lee "Pat" Morrison and sister-in-law, Patricia Eaton Morrison.

Family members include two daughters, Lorria (Paul) Hood, Janne (Joseph Erickson) Bates; five grandchildren, Amber (Darren) Fairchild, Shane (Kaylee) McKnight, William "Neil" Bates, Dylan (Matti) Bates, C.J. Hood; nine great-grandchildren, Arriana Franklin, Justice Fairchild, Braelynn Fairchild, Kynsie McKnight, Lillian McKnight, Morghan Simmons, Emersyn Bates, Brittany Bates, and Lucas Hood.

Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home (102 North 1st Street, Lumberton, MS, 39455) on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Coma Rivers will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Felix Ladner Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Paul Hood, Joby Erickson, C.J. Hood, Dylan Bates, Neil Bates, and Shane McKnight.
