Born September 18, 1945 in Morganton, N.C., she is the daughter of Helen Smith Monico and the late Quentin Smith. She retired from C.B. Fleet.
In addition to her mother, Helen and husband, Harold she is survived by a son, Scott Wasko and wife, Jennifer of Anderson, S.C.; daughter Susan Smith and husband, Kevin of Roanoke, Va; three grandchildren, Hunter Wasko, Nicholas and Darby Smith; a sister, Linda Carpenter and a niece and nephew.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial contributions be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Blue Ridge Chapter 1 Morton Drive Suite 106, Charlottesville, Va 22903.
