Arthur Lewis Duff

Born May 23, 1924, in Amherst Co., he was the son of the late Leonard and Emma Duff. He was retired from Sam Green Vault Co., after 36 years of service.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Vola D. Wright, Bradie D. Gibson, Erma Hudson, and Nellie Duff, Leffel, Benzil, Marshall and Owen Duff.

Survivors include his son, Glen A. Duff; and his daughter, Lois D. Tyree and husband Ronnie, both of Madison Heights; two grandchildren, Stephanie Duff and Timothy Tyree; one great-granddaughter Sienna Makinley Duff, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7-8:30 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel, and at other times at the residence of his daughter, Lois Tyree.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Fort Hill Memorial Park, by the Rev. Steve Tyree.
