Born in Lynchburg, February 10, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Allie Carroll Field and Leona Maggie Hawkins Field. She was retired from G.E. after 30 years of service.
Two brothers, Thomas B. Field and Allie C. Field preceded her in death.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Stephen Arthur and his wife Barbara of Spout Spring.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Chaplain Jim Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today, February 3, 2016 at the funeral home.
