He was born in Easton, MD on July 23, 1931, son of the late Lawrence C. Sparrow and the late Rosa M. Sparrow. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Nell S. Hassell and a brother Jack Lee Sparrow.
Billy spent most of his life in Lynchburg where he was an avid fan of the Lynchburg Hillcats.
He is survived by his nephews, David Sparrow (Dana) and Kirk Sparrow.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
