

Born in Portsmouth, July 7, 1944, she was a daughter of Carrie Wilson Hendricks of Lynchburg and the late John Olen Hendricks. Carolyn was a retired executive secretary with Hanson Porcelain and was a member of Timberlake Baptist Church. Carolyn’s love of wildlife was evident through artistic ability with both ceramics and photography.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Olen Hendricks and one sister Gayle Hendricks Hight.
Mrs. Ford is survived by a daughter, Carrie Christine Ford Pillow and her husband, Lynn of Evington; a son, Kenneth Scott Ford and his wife, Maranda of Rustburg; one sister, Kathy Pavia and her husband, Dean of Forest; two grandchildren, David Lloyd Pillow and Brandi Nichole Pillow; one niece, Jahmie Leigh Hight, and two nephews, William Anthony Pavia, and John Michael Pavia.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel by the Rev. Richard Jett. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
