

Born in Skowhegan, Maine, April 14, 1937, he was a son of the late Gordon Parker Dunlop, Sr. and Laura Folsom Dunlop. He retired from Liberty University as the Assistant Director of Transportation and later worked part-time for Abbott Trailways. He was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son and one brother, Eldon Dunlop.
In addition to his wife he is survived by ten children, Linda Long, Laura Morrison, Lawrence Dunlop, Lenwood Dunlop, Lecia Dunlop, David Allan Dunlop, II, Shain Dunlop, Mary Yates, Rhonda Dunlop and Eldon Dunlop, II; two brothers, Gordon P. Dunlop, Jr. and Arthur G. Dunlop, Sr.; one sister, Rosalene Thompson; 32 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 in the Pate Chapel at Thomas Road Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Liberty Godparent Home 124 Liberty Mountain Drive Lynchburg VA 24502.
