Born July 11, 1958, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Alfred W. Lowry, and Mary Ann White Lowry.
Mr. Lowry was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors also include two sons, Robert Wynell Lowry, and Brian David Lowry, both of Lynchburg; two sisters, Carolyn Johns and husband Roger, of Lynchburg, and Diane Turman and husband Charles, of Boones Mill; three grandchildren, Jarrett Wynell Lowry, Sharla Jade Lowry, and Seth Tomas Lowry, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2012, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel, by the Rev. Dennis Roberts.
The family will receive friends after the service at the residence.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Marine Corps League in Lynchburg.
