David was born February 5, 1957, in Lynchburg, Virginia to Ruby (Reynolds) Harris and Alvin Reynolds. He worked for many years at Harris Hawg Shop fixing motorcycles, cars and anything else that needed work.
Lovingly known as ‘Redman’ to his friends and family, David was a classic Harley man and had a passion for all things Harley Davidson. He was happiest riding Harley’s, hanging with his friends and surrounded by his dogs Bear, Lucy and Dusty. He also taught himself how to play the double bass and would play bluegrass for friends. He was known for his quiet demeanor, long red beard, skull rings and handing out silver dollars to his nieces and nephews every Christmas.
David is survived by his devoted mother, Ruby, and Step-Father, Nick Harris. David and Nick shared a special bond and deep friendship over many years. He is survived by his sister Darlene Mitchell and brother-in-law Ray and brother Ralph Reynolds and sister-in-law Raye Reynolds, and Step-Mother Annie Reynolds, in addition to several nieces and nephews. David left behind his devoted partner, Wanda Berhow, who lovingly cared for him during his battle with cancer.
