

Donnie was born in Lynchburg on February 12, 1957 to Bessie P. Webber and James E. Webber Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Preston E. Webber and James E. “Eddie” Webber Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Webber; stepsons, Bryan Chenault, Jonathan Chenault, and Taylor Richardson; grandchildren, Cameron Chenault, Caroline Chenault and Leighton Chenault; sister, Bettie W. Wright; brother, Walsie L. Webber and friend, Donna Dubberly; nieces and nephews, Frances P. Booker, Mary E. Powell, Debra W. Wilson, Betty Jo Dill, James E. Webber III, Dennis M. Wright, Patricia L. Webber, and Wendy L. Webber; and 12 great-nieces and nephews.
In the 1990’s Donnie started the band, Southern Breeze, where he served as lead vocalist and guitarist. Through his band, he was able to share his love for people and music with audiences throughout Central Virginia. Donnie loved to see people happy and was blessed to see his music lend a measure of happiness to those who came to see him perform. Donnie loved riding his Harley Davidson with friends. He also loved his dog, Harley, his loyal companion and friend.
The family would like to especially thank Donnie’s niece, Janet Lynn Nuckles, who provided love, support and care to her uncle during his recent illness.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Pastor J. Mike Dodson officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Tree of Life Church or The Campbell County Humane Society.
