Fond memories of times shared with Donna as nursing students at VBH and our first apartment on the Avenue after graduation.  Prayers for peace and comfort for her family in their time of grief.  Hold tight the memories.

Donna and I were colleagues for over 39 years. We had many good times working together. She was a very hard worker and excellent nurse.  I loved seeing  here at work and as friends going out . We went to New years dinners for several  years. We always enjoyed eating.   I loved her and will miss her. I am happy she is with the lord now. I know you will all miss her too. Remember the good times. My sympathies to you all. She loved her family very much.

My sister Connie and I remember Donna so fondly from the several times we visited in West Virginia. All the cousins would sleep on pallets on the floor in Mawmaw and pawpaw Tillers house on the side of the mountain. Donna was so sweet and inclusive of us.  We saw her once or twice after we were all adults.  She was a very special person.  Connie and I are also nurses like our mom, Patsy. 

We wish you all the peace and comfort of our mighty and loving God.  May He be with you in your grief and loss.

Oh the times we’ve shared .. nursing school at VBH, apartments, each other’s weddings, and fun with families. Your folks & Bill were so good to us girls. They taught you well how to be thoughtful and loving. I can’t remember hearing you speak ill of anyone. You were one very special person.  Roger, Jeff, Brian, & Lora all grew in my heart because of you. Thank you Donna for all the memories

I am so sorry for your loss. Donna was an effective unit manager for the Neonatal unit for many years at Virginia Baptist Hospital. Her gentle and compassionate spirit was a great comfort to many anxious parents.  May God give you comfort and healing in this difficult time.

I started my nursing career with sweet Donna. She was such a great nurse and worked with Dr. Peter Houck to start the first Neonatal Unit. She never realized her impact on so many of us. Rest In Peace sweet Donna. ❤️

Donna made every family gathering special. She was always warm and welcoming and had a kind smile. She showed such concern for others and had a special way of making others feel comfortable and at ease. 


Donna is my sister-in-law and I have many good memories of times as a family!  But one time in particular, she was more than family….she was a caring, educating nurse for me.  I had to have an emergency C-section with my premature second baby and she was right by me explaining and reassuring me that both me and my baby would be taken care of.  I knew he would probably be under her care in neonatal and I was peaceful when I went under anesthesia. She was by my bed when I was coming out of anesthesia with a Polaroid picture of my baby and assured me he was a healthy baby who didn’t even need neonatal or any of the emergency things they had prepared me for.  I know she was that way with all of her patients, no matter what!  She was a wonderful person and friend!  I miss her.

I met Donna at VBH when I was a brand new adoption caseworker in my 20's.  We worked together on many occasions and she had endless amounts of patience - always pleasant, no matter the circumstance, and did her job with excellence.   She was someone I looked forward to seeing and hoped that she would be working when I was heading to the hospital.  She was empathetic, caring, and nurturing and definitely a "baby whisperer" as well.  I will never forget her, she was simply the best.  My condolences to all of her family and prayers to you as you grieve this loss.

Donna was such a sweet lady. I’m so sorry for your loss. I have been praying for the family for a long time. May you have peace in knowing she is whole again!  Love you all!
