Born May 20, 1960, in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Bryant, and is survived by her mother, Dora Reynolds Bryant, of Lynchburg.
Mrs. Dix was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church.
Survivors also include two daughters, Angel Dalton and Opal Waltz, both of Lynchburg; two brothers, Tommy Bryant and wife Pat, and Donnie Bryant and wife Gloria, both of Rustburg, her sister, Wanda Pringle and husband Richard, of Charleston, SC.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4:00 p.m. at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2010, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel, by the Rev. Earl Clarkson. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
