

She was born on August 11, 1931, in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of the late Gertrude and Oliver Ballard. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Lynchburg Livestock Market.
Elatha is survived by her daughters: Cindy Cash, and Mike Soos, of Huddleston, Tammy Henson, and her husband Bruce, of Forest; her son, Ronnie Cash, and his wife Wendy, of Forest; her brother, Ronald Ballard, and his wife Linda, of Vance, SC; and four granddaughters: Brandy Cash, Ashleigh Henson, Bethany Holland, and Kaleigh Henson, her great-granddaughter, Brylee Holland, and four nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Mack Almond officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
