
Born September 22, 1934 in Dott, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Raymond and Dolly Lineberry Thomas and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Gale Adams; a brother, Arnold Edmond Thomas and three sisters, Helen Louise Thomas, Barbara Ann Johnson, and Shelvey Jean McMillan.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Craddock & Terry Shoe Corp., where she worked for thirty-seven years and was retired from the Central Virginia Training Center. She was a member of Campbell Avenue Baptist Church.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her son, Charles L. “Chunky” Adams and wife Tracey of Lynchburg; two grandchildren, Aaron Wiley and Ariel Wiley and many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn saw angels four days a week and occasionally, the family saw them too. Missy and her fellow angels came from Seven Hills Hospice. Evelyn won her battle with cancer and now she is with her Lord and her beloved husband, Walter.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2014 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Reed Ness officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at
12:00 p.m. (noon).
