Born April 25, 1957, in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late William L. Shifflett and is survived by her mother, Virginia Lee Johns.
Survivors also include her son, William Shifflett and wife Ragan; brothers, Roger Coleman and wife Nancy, William Shifflett; sisters, Virginia “Pumpkin” Coleman, and Doris Shifflett, all of Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Austin Campbell, Matthew Martin and Shana Martin, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 4, 2013, from 5-7:00 pm at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel, and at other times at the residence of her son.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Presbyterian Cemetery, by the Rev. Melvin Campbell.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association.
