Franklin Delno Moore

Born in Lucama, NC, October 22, 1934, he was the son of the late John Henry Allen Moore and Estelle Marie Wheeler Moore. He was also preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.

Frank was the owner and operator of F.D. Moore Painting Contractor in Plattsburgh, New York for over 45 years. He and his wife later moved to the Lynchburg, VA area and although retired, Frank never stopped working. He was a former longtime member of Bible Baptist Church in Plattsburgh.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Glenda Hinkley and her husband Richard of Rustburg; two sons, David Moore and his wife Donna of Charlottesville and Douglas Moore and his wife Carol of Severna Park, MD; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the Liberty University Prayer Chapel with the Rev. Zane Kramer officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
