
Born January 23, 1946, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late William Moten Eades and Edna Lloyd Eades. Mr. Eades was a contractor for the United States Postal Service, for 35 years, and an employee of Powell Trucking for 8 years.
Survivors also include four children, George “Who-do” Thomas Eades Jr., Ann (Randy) Eades, Penny Regester, and Bobbi Jo Eades, all of Lynchburg; a brother, William “Skeeter” (Linda) Eades, of Concord; a sister, Mary Sue (Elmo) Brown, of Monroe; sister-in-law, Darlene (Dale) Dowdy, of Madison Heights; five grandchildren, Ashley (Brian), Jaden, Dakota, Kali, and one on the way; great-grandson, Brandon “Lucky”; nieces, Rosa Brown and Edna (Shane) Hall, special nephews, William and George Eades; other nephews, Paul, Matt, and Troy Brown; special friends of the family, Jeannie Eades, Sharon “Miss C.” Burns, Sharon Johnson, Stephen Regester, Jason Goodman, Rick & Jeremie Jamerson, Tom, Tee, and Josh Goff, Sandy Wallace, Sue Love, and Wanda St. John, other relatives and many friends, too numerous to mention.
A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel, by the Rev. Carlton Dunn.
The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012, at Meade Cemetery.
