Gladys was born in Amherst County on August 22, 1935 to Robert Clifford and Annie Susie Worley. She retired from Central Virginia Training Center after more than 28 years of service in the Physical Therapy Department.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Edward, and Albert Worley.
In addition to her husband B.J., Gladys is survived by two sons, David E. Jones and Douglas Jones and wife Melissa; one daughter, Susan J. Cyrus and husband John; one grandson, Daniel C. Cyrus; and one granddaughter, Allison Jones.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Spring Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Samuel Jones officiating.
