Born February 7, 1947 in Campbell County, he was the son of the late Laura Elizabeth Hendricks and Thomas Martin and was also preceded in death by two brothers. He retired from Lynchburg Milling Company and was a U.S. Army veteran where he served during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hendricks is survived by four children, Sharon L. Hendricks, Harold J. Hendricks, Jr. and wife Peggy, Earl H. Hendricks, Walter W. Hendricks; two brothers; one sister, and two grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors by the Fort Lee Honors Team will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Amelia Veterans Cemetery.
