Harold Winston Wilson, Sr.

Harold Winston Wilson, Sr., 86, of Forest, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy Reynolds Wilson. Born April 1, 1928, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Wyatt Washington Wilson, Sr. and the late Emma Frances Brookman Wilson.

Harold was a retired maintenance supervisor for Holiday Inn and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by brother, Wyatt Washington Wilson, Jr. and one granddaughter, Leah Mackenzie Wilson.

In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by two sons, Harold Winston Wilson, Jr. and his wife Karen of Forest and Gregory Kent Wilson, Sr. and his wife Shelia, also of Forest; seven grandchildren, Sarah Raine and her husband Matt, Laura Read and her husband Ricky, Benjamin Wilson, Elizabeth Wilson, Gabrielle Wilson, Kent Wilson, II and Katie Wilson; one great granddaughter, Emma Dare Raine; one nephew, Wyatt W. Wilson, III; and three nieces, Linda McFadden, Faye Carter and Robby Carey.

A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Virginia Memorial Park with the Rev. Charles E. Johnson, Jr. officiating.

There will be no visitation hours at the funeral home, but the family will receive friends at the residence.
