

Harry Smith Daniels, Jr., 90, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Lynchburg Health and Rehab. He was the husband of the late Annie Lucille Bagby Daniels. Born July 13, 1920, in Derby, CT, he was the son of the late Harry Smith Daniels, Sr. and Pearl Bigelow Daniels.
Mr. Daniels was a retired driver for Vadney Oil Co. and he served our country in the US Army during World War II.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Daniels is preceded in death by one sister, Audrey Margeson and one brother Vincent Daniels.
Mr. Daniels is survived by one son, Christopher “Doc” Daniels, Sr. and his wife Catherine of Lynchburg; one daughter, Debbie L. Daniels also of Lynchburg; two sisters, Thelma Brown of Milford, CT and
Dorothy Kuian of Bridgeport, CT; two grandchildren, Christopher W. Daniels, Jr. and his wife, Allison and Neil C. Daniels; three great-grandchildren, Colby Ann Daniels, Victoria Louise Daniels and McKenzie Catherine Daniels; three sisters-in-law, Mary Daniels, Christine Dugger and Joyce Sherman and her husband, Ralph; one brother-in-law, Eugene Bagby; and special niece Carol Young
A funeral service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel conducted by the Rev. Mark Grooms. Military honors will be presented by American Legion Post 16. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
