Irene Daniel Torrence

Born October 28, 1924 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Carlton Herbert and Susie Plymale Daniel. She retired as a nurse for Dr. John Wyatt Davis and also retired with (Camelot) now Lynchburg Health and Rehab and she was a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Shelby T. Organ (Ed) of Lynchburg, Vicki T. Brooks (Jim) of Africa/ Evington; special nieces, Linda B. St.Clair and Ginger Martin (Bob), sister, Eunice D. Mason (Paul) all of Lynchburg, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be held at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church Friday, December 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Randy J. Bower. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday at the church from 12:30-2:00 p.m.
