Born February 4, 1941 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Carlton Earl and Margaret Inez Kirby Weeks.
James is survived by his daughters, Victoria W. Capps and husband, Joey, Cynthia W. Lloyd; brother, Wayne Weeks and wife, Pat; sister Janice Driskill and husband, Jimmy; son-in-law, Sam Lloyd; five grand-dogs; and his beloved dog, Earley.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Fort Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Dwight Weaver.
The family will receive friends at Whitten Timberlake Chapel tonight from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The family request memorial contributions in James honor be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society or the Humane Society of your choice.
