Born in Mexico City, Mexico, November 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Ramon Aguirre and Aurelia Garcia Aguirre.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lidubina Aguirre; eight children, Jesus A. Aguirre (Lydia), Ofelia Arellano (Roberto), Delia Aguirre, Aurelia Aguirre, Ana Aguirre, Raul Aguirre (Teresa), Guadalupe Aguirre (Bertha) and Lidubina Aguirre; two brothers, Jose Aguirre and Inez Aguirre; two sisters, Marielena Morales and Eloisa Aguirre; 32 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and other extended family.
Jesus worked hard all of his life to provide for his family. He sold the home he had worked so hard for in California to purchase a percentage of ownership La Carreta restaurant in Lynchburg. He was a man who always seemed happy because of the smile on his face and constant whistling and singing. He loved music and his wife’s cooking and enjoyed watching soccer. He was very devoted to the Catholic Church and tradition was very important to him. He always insisted his family attend church and must be dressed appropriately. He was a good man, and loving husband, father and grandfather.
A mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Gallagher officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 9th and Saturday July 10th at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
Burial will follow at a later date in Mexico.
