Born March 24, 1956 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Lawrence Willard Boothe, Sr. and the late Shirley Inez Langford Boothe Hawkins. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lois Boothe Hill and stepfather, Otis Hawkins. He was a member of Tree of Life Ministries.
John is survived by two brothers, Charles Herbert “Jimmy” Boothe and wife Brenda of Rustburg and Lawrence Willard “Larry” Boothe, Jr. and wife Linda of Forest.
