John Frank Kerekes

JOHN F. KEREKES, age 82, formerly of Elyria, Ohio; passed away peacefully during Easter week on April 25, 2014 in Lynchburg, VA following a long illness; spouse of Carolyn Foster Poindexter; dear father of Linda Kerekes of Strongsville, Ohio, Brenda Mooney (Sam) of Argyle, Texas and Diedra Kerekes of Wellington, New Zealand; loving grandfather of Hannah Mooney.

Cared by the wonderful staff at Avante of Lynchburg, he was an uncle and friend to many. John was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Mary (nee Krozser) Kerekes; sisters Mary Hart, Anne Vargo, Grace Kerekes and Eleanor Price.

John was a former 36 year retiree of Ford Motor Company in Cleveland, Ohio. He worked (7) days a week and had perfect attendance the last seven years of service. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Korean Veteran and enjoyed his family, traveling and the love of cars.
