Joyce Marie Gaddy

Joyce Gaddy, 54, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, April 22, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Dale Holbrook and Thelma Mae Holbrook. Joyce, born on October 9, 1969, embodied love and compassion throughout her life. As the youngest of three siblings, she exuded care and generosity, touching the lives of all who knew her. With a warm heart, she welcomed everyone, embracing diversity without hesitation. Her professional journey led her through various kitchen roles, notably at Moore's Country Store, before dedicating herself to nurturing as a childcare provider for 12 years. Joyce's kindness extended beyond humans, as she had a knack for rescuing stray cats, showering them with love and attention, and adorning them with care. Her legacy of love and empathy will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Those left to cherish Joyce's memory include her sister Louanne Burris and her husband First Sergeant Charles Burris of the Marine Corps.
