Judy Hudson Wright

Born on July 13, 1949 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge and Dorothy Hudson. Judy was a member of Tree of Life Ministries.

Judy was a lady of many talents. She worked for General Electric for many years before going back to school to study paralegal and later nursing. She worked for Centra Health and later became a correctional officer for Buckingham Correction Center. Judy found value in continuing her education and work but her greatest joy and accomplishment was her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three daughters and two brothers.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Ernest Wright, Sr.; her children, Ernest “Buck” Wright, Jr., Tina Bennett, Jeffrey Wright and wife Vicky, Shawn Wright and wife Katherine, Jeremy Wright and wife Crystal, Joshua Wright and wife Erin, and Erica Wright; 19 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Wright and Kimberly Hudson; brother, Alan Hudson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
