June Insley Parsell

June Insley Parsell (known by all as Nannie), 89, of Lynchburg passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Noah’s Landing Residential Care Facility. She was the wife of Alfred Marion Parsell. Al and June celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on November 11, 2015. Born April 12, 1926, in Christiansburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert Myers and the late Ruby Hungate Myers.

June was a retired co-owner/operator for M&M Cleaners, and she was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. June was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her husband, June is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Mahone of Lynchburg; one sister, Maggie Jones of Manikin Sabot; four grandchildren, Sherry Sale and her husband Alan, Stacey Craft and her husband Kendall, Patrick Mahone and his wife Melissa and Tonya Corriveau and her husband Joe; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends, 3-5 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.

A graveside service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m.., Monday, November 16, 2015 at Virginia Memorial Park with Mr. Patrick Mahone officiating. Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family following the service at the residence of Stacey and Kendall Craft.
