Justin Keith Simpson

Born April 4, 1985 in Lynchburg, he was the son of Jeffrey Kevin Simpson of Lynchburg and Rebecca Nance Peters, also of Lynchburg. He was a Systems Administrator with B&W and a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.

Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James Simpson and Judy Simpson Taylor.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his step-father, Steve Peters; step-mother, Sherilyn Simpson; two brothers, Jeremy Peters and Kevin Simpson; a sister, Erica Peters, all of Lynchburg; grandparents, Claude and Lavon Nance of Evington and Jerry and Jean Peters of Churchill, TN; his great-grandmother, Myrtle M. Pribble of Evington and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Justin was an amazing man, to know him was to love him. He could bring a smile to anyone’s face and would call you just to check on you. He had a huge heart and was passionate about things that were important to him. He had a love for God and wanted to do what God wanted him to, in every aspect of his life. Justin’s love for his family and friends was so present that when you needed someone to be there, you could count on him and we all just knew that. Although there might not be full understanding as to why, we can all know Justin is in heaven, with no pain and suffering, dancing on the streets of gold, watching over us and waiting to see us again.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Pate Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Falwell, the Rev. Bryan Moore, and the Rev. Dwight Weaver. Interment will follow at the Leffler Memorial Community Cemetery in Evington.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2014 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and other times at the home of Claude and Lavon Nance, 15804 Leesville Road, Evington.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Thomas Road Baptist Church or Langhorne Chapel Community Church.
