Larry Parker Hall

Larry Parker Hall, 63, of Evington, passed away, Friday, September 20, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Veronica Pribble Hall for almost 44 years. Born January 23, 1950, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Harris Hall and the late Alice Lee Parker Hall.

Larry was a supervisor for Flowserve, where he served for 43 ½ years, and he a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Evington. Larry loved fishing, golf, the Outer Banks and music. He was a sports fan, particularly the Miami Dolphins and the New York Yankees. Larry had three heroes in life: Billy Graham, Mickey Mantle and George Jones. Larry loved his family and he was a loving son, husband, father, brother and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his two children, Sherri Goff (Greg) of Concord and Larry “Buzz” Hall, Jr. (Tammy) of Amherst; five siblings, Michael Hall (Sharon), Danny Hall (Linda), Randy Hall (Sandra), Johnny Hall (Delores), all of Evington and Alice Worley (Jim) of Rustburg; six grandchildren, Brittany Goff and her fiancé Greg Dawson of Concord, LCpl G.T. Goff, Jr. USMC stationed at Iwakuni, Japan, Brandon Goff of Concord, Jessica Anderson, Jordan Hall and Rylee Hall, all of Amherst; mother-in-law, Genivia Pribble; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews…all who adored Larry. A special thank you to all extended family, including special sister-in-law, Deborah Templeton.

A funeral service will be conducted, 3:00 p.m.., Monday, September 23, 2013, at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Schooler and the Rev. Steven Parker officiating. Interment will follow at the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2-5 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence.
