Lillian Frances Tomlin, 86, of Lynchburg, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at her residence.

Born on March 10, 1939, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Rennie Rucker Tomlin, Sr. and Lillian McKinney Tomlin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd G. Tomlin, Sr. and two sisters, Bertha T. Lawrence and Barbara T. Glass.

Frances graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Southern Wesleyan University. She was a school teacher at Brookville High School for over 20 years. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Sheltered Workshop in Altavista. Although Frances never had any children of her own, she had many that she loved and loved her in return over the years. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her brother, Rennie R. Tomlin, Jr., her sister, Naomi T. Lodge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions in her name are asked to consider Southern Wesleyan University, Office of Advancement, P.O. Box 1020, 907 Wesleyan Dr., Central, SC 29630-1020.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.
