She was born in Lynchburg on September 22, 1970, daughter of Shirley R. Ashwell and the late Joseph R. Ashwell, Jr.
Lisa enjoyed keeping in touch with her friends on Facebook, working crossword puzzles and watching game shows but her favorite time was when she was with her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas A. Spencer; mother, Shirley R. Ashwell; two daughters, Taylor Ann Wagner and Jessica Lynn Blankenship; a sister, Laura Ashwell McCoy (John); a brother, Joseph R. Ashwell, III (Erin) and four grandchildren, Crystal Blankenship, Mason Wagner, Ryan Blankenship and Rylee Thomas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
