Lynette Millner Wilson, 56, of Lynchburg finished her battle with sickness on Thursday, January 1, 2026, surrounded by those she loved. She was the daughter of Dana Franklin and the late Willie Richard Millner.
Born February 17, 1969, Lynette would like to be remembered for her smile and no matter how hard her storms were trying to bring her to her knees against her Father God, Lynette’s faith and trust have never been questioned. She always assured everyone around her that she would be her Father in Heaven’s vessel; for her testimony and faith in Him, and the trust that even though she may not have been healed on Earth, no matter what, Jesus would be there for her should the doctors not be able to heal her. Her favorite thing was reminding everyone that Earth is temporary, and she would be in Heaven, completely healed living her eternal life waiting for everyone else with an even bigger smile on her face - if that is even possible. Having to wait is the hardest part for her, because if you truly know her, you know how hard this has been. She loves her family and children so much. They have been her constant support for what she needed over everything else. It was with sincere grace, gratitude, and God for allowing words and love to be shared before beginning what she knew was coming, her healed, beautiful life in Heaven.
Lynette appreciates all of the love shared as she began her battle on May 25th and sends her love and hugs to those that stayed by her side through it all. She was surrounded by her loved ones comforting her as she began her new journey and healing in God’s gracious arms.
In addition to her father Lynette was preceded in passing by her grandson, Jayden Daniel Millner, and nephew, Tony Lee Driskill.
Those left to cherish Lynette’s memory include her loving husband, Barry Wilson; her sons, Dereck Millner and Gregory Harris; her daughters, Brittany Wilburn (Thomas) and Anjelicia Ridener (Keith); her grandchildren, Jeremiah Dickerson (Josie), Jordan Millner, Jaxson Gabbard, AnnaLeigh Lynette Wilburn, and Harper Millner; her sister, Lisa Driskill (Neal); her niece and nephews, Heather Martin (Nicholas), Zackary Ferguson (Rebecca), and Travis Driskill; her special father-figure, Arnold White; and many more great nieces and nephews, and special friends.
There will be a celebration of life service for Lynette on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Rick Rasberry with interment to follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
