Born November 30, 1922 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert Pompi Lawhorn and Mittie Johns Lawhorn.
Margaret is also preceded in death by son, William Terry “WT” Coles, and brothers, Dudley and Calvin Lawhorn.
Mrs. Hudson is survived by two sons, Clive Essex and wife, Vickie of Madison Heights, Lawrence B. Coles, Jr. and wife, Sandra of Silver Springs, FL; daughter, Virginia C. Fisher and husband, Tommy of Rustburg; brothers, Ben Lawhorn and wife, Lois of Madison Heights, Robert Lawhorn of Appomattox; sister, Ann Crenshaw of Orange Springs, FL; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in Whitten Park Avenue Chapel conducted by the Rev. Christine Payden-Travers.
