Margaret Belle Lawhorn, 74, of Lynchburg, died, Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born August 26, 1938, in Johnson City, TN, she was the daughter of the late Emmit Clayton Richardson and the late Lenora Shields Richardson Holmon.
Margaret was preceded in death by two children, Kenneth Wayne Lawhorn and Lenora Ellen Lawhorn; and her brothers and sisters.
Margaret was a retired supervisor for Hilton laundry department. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Margaret is survived by her children, Joan Lawhorn and her spouse Erica Jordan, Ronald “Hambone” Lawhorn, Sheila Lawhorn, Cynthia Elder and Glenn Calvin Lawhorn, Jr., all of Lynchburg; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will conducted 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel with Pastor Tommy Tucker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the needs of the family.
