Margaret went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 11, 2010.

Born November 22, 1923 in Greensboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Columbus Saunders and Mittie Ellen Dunn Saunders and was also preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. She lived in Alexandria, VA before “coming back south to the country” in 1989. She has been an active member of Clearview Baptist Church, until her recent illness prevented her from attending.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Larry D. Lewis and wife, Linda of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Teresa D. Lewis Riley and husband, randy of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Michael Riley, Kelly Kirkwood (Scott), Lisa Chatworthy (Mike), and Cheri Freeman; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Isabel Kirkwood, Kyle Carlson, and Taylor Gilson and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m., today, Friday, August 13, 2010 at Clearview Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Green officiating.

The family will receive friends, prior to the service, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery on Leesville Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clearview Baptist Church Radio Ministry, 2183 Sunnymeade Road, Rustburg, VA 24588.
