Margaret Moore Mills

Born June 14, 1921 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late John Chester and Nellie Taylor Moore and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Mills Farish. She was retired from Sears, Roebuck & Company and was a member of West Lynchburg Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mills is survived by her son, Willie L. Mills, Jr. and wife, Daphne of Lynchburg; five grandchildren, Daniel Farish and wife, Carol, Donna F. Peters and husband, Scott, David Farish and wife, Suzanne, Michael T. Mills, and Michelle Mills Martin; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a son-in-law, Cecil A. Farish of Lynchburg.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Willis officiating with interment to be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Schoolfield Cemetery in Danville.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the funeral home and other times at the home of Willie and Daphne.
