Marie Peters Williams

Marie Peters Williams, age 71 of Lynchburg, widow of Earl E. Williams, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was born on July 31, 1947 in Lynchburg, daughter of the late Samuel and Dorothy Peters. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Sammy and Milton Peters. She was a retired nursing assistant who loved caring for others her entire life. Survivors include a daughter, Dorethea “Dot” Sodders and husband Brian and Earl E. Williams, Jr.; 3 step children, Pam Campbell, Sherry Walker, and Faith Peak and husband Gary. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Fort Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
