Born in Lynchburg, July 4, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Randolph Fisher and Mamie Jenkins Fisher. She was retired from Craddock Terry Shoe Corp. after 57 of service and was a member of Leawood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Layne, Sr.; two sons, Gordon Layne, Jr., Danny Layne and a daughter Linda Brown Austin.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Cash of Evington; 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
She was the greatest mother and grandmother that ever lived.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Keith Layne officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
