Mary Doss Peaco

Born in Appomattox County, August 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James Robert Doss and Della Lucado Doss. She was retired from C&P telephone Company after 43 years of service and was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church in Oakville.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Lloyd Doss, Lester Doss, Douglas Doss and Ryland Doss and four sisters, Estelle Moore, Louise Robertson, Lillian Stanley and Gertrude Jarrells.

She is survived by one sister, Thelma Ford and her husband Simeon of Lynchburg and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Jim Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
