Maxine Ellen Brown

Maxine Ellen Brown, 72, of Evington passed away Friday, May 11, 2018, at the Oakwood Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford. She was the wife of Robert Lee Brown, Sr. Born March 16, 1946, in Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Granview Miller and the late Robbie Miller. Maxine was a homemaker and a member of Mount Pisgah C.M.E. Church in Evington. In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Lee Brown. In addition to her husband, Maxine is survived by two children, Maggie Johnson (Jose) of Evington and Robert Brown, Jr. of Lynchburg; two brothers, Wayne Miller of Evington and Alfred “Ray” Brown of Texas; one granddaughter, Martisha Johnson of Evington; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2018, at the Mount Pisgah C.M.E. Church cemetery. There will be no visitation hours at the funeral home.
