Maxine Olivia Martin

Maxine O. Martin, 82, of Forest, Va., entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday May 14, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and her husband, Steve A. Martin, who passed away 20 years ago. She is survived by her Three children, Gary Desper of Lynchburg, Va., Steve Desper of Cambria, CA., and Jeff Desper (Dawn) of Chesterfield, VA; her two grandchildren, Sarah A. Traylor and Joshua Desper; as well as two great-grandchildren; a sister, Margie H. McNichols of Blairs, VA; and two step-daughters, Tara Kosegi of Rustburg and Rana Geralis of Columbia, MD. She was the owner of Maxine’s Hair Boutique for over 32 years and touched many hearts throughout her career as a hairstylist. She was the true Matriarch of her family that she loved beyond measure. Everyone she knew loved her, and her contagious smile. Her children loved her and were by her side up until the very end. A graveside service will be conducted at Virginia Memorial Park on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with the Pastor Butch McCarthy officiating. The family will receive friends at Whitten Timberlake Chapel on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Her family would like to thank UVA Dialysis Center for all the years of support. Kelly Davis was truly a blessing to our family.
