She was born on May 1, 1927, in Lynchburg, daughter of the late Isaah H. Houston and Catherine L. Houston.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Malcom Scott and three siblings: Isaah "Henry" Houston, Jr. (Flossie), Johnnie Houston (Joyce), and Ethel Roakes (Carol).
Minnie was known for her gentle and sweet nature, always wearing a warm smile that brightened the lives of those around her. She was a woman of faith who loved her family.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her kindness and love.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Rick Rasberry officiating.
