Patrick Terrell Hudson, Sr., 84 of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord at his home surrounded by his loved ones Friday, March 31, 2023. He was the son of the late Dewey Davis Hudson and Hallie Tolley Hudson.
Born in Lynchburg on October 31, 1938 Pat served in the U.S. Navy and the Navy reserves and worked hard at every job he held. He retired from Cardinal Oil Company where he was their dependable service-man on-call 24/7 for over 30 years. Pat was a long time member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and lived to serve his Lord.
In addition to his parents Pat was preceded in death by his brothers Ray Hudson and Willard “Buck” Hudson.
Left to cherish Pat’s memory is his devoted wife Peggy L. Hudson; his brother Rodney Hudson and his wife Nancy; his children Robert Hudson and his wife Kathy, Patrick Terrell Hudson, Jr.; his grandson Benjamin Hudson and his wife Lauren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pat was looking forward to the birth of his great-granddaughter Addilyn Jean due in June.
A service celebrating his life and faith will be conducted Wednesday April 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Whitten Timberlake Chapel officiated by Pastor Jonathan Falwell and Pastor Mack Almond. Entombment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive family and friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
