

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, December 4, 1946, he was the son of the late William H. Kendall and Ruth Beutel Kendall. He was an engineer throughout his career having worked for G.E., Ericsson, Harris Corp. and was currently employed by Commscope. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force and was a devoted follower of Jesus and dedicated member of Living Word Baptist Church. Phillip was very intelligent and enjoyed building and flying model helicopters. He was also a five year cancer survivor. He was known by his family and friends as a loving, kind, compassionate person who would always be there in a time of need.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Eric Scott Kendall and his wife Heidi of Eugene, OR, Jodi Lynn Evans and her husband Charles of Borden, IN, Paul Brian Kendall and his wife Courtney of Concord, Dawn Renee Kendall of Cumberland, ME and Keith Russell Kendall and his wife LeeAnn of Skaneateles, NY; one sister, Donna K. Boone and husband Pat of Ivey, GA and seven grandchildren, Chelsea Evans, Elliott Evans, Wyatt Evans, Peyton Kendall, Presley Kendall, Grace Kendall and Jonathan Kendall.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18,2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Marvin Suitt officiating. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 16.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and will host a reception following the service at Living Word Baptist Church.
The family requests memorial contributions be made in his honor and memory to either the American Cancer Society or Living Word Baptist Church.
