Phillip Sanburn Marshall

Born on October 20, 1957 in Auburn, NY he was the son of the late Robert G. and Kathryn Keller Marshall.

Philip spent his formative years in upstate Aurora, NY. He was educated in NY, Virginia Episcopal School, Kenyon College, and the University of Maryland. He was a distance runner and an avid biker. Philip retired from Sweet Briar College. He had a love for animals, especially golden retrievers and he was a lifelong follower of the Cincinnati Reds, New York Jets, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his best friends and furry companions, Ara, Digger, and Archie.

He is survived by his brother, Christoph Marshall and wife Kristine of Lansing, NY; his sister, Annie Marshall of Honolulu, Hawaii; his dog, Riley; three aunts; one uncle; and numerous cousins.

At his request, Mr. Marshall will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date at Cayuga Lake in Aurora, NY.
